Along with many kilometres of ski slopes, this holiday region also offers breath-taking views into the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here, winter in the Alps is always something very special with the snow-covered mountains and valleys presenting their incomparable flair.
SNOW COVERED SLOPES
The starting point for skiing trips and ski tours is definitely the Kitzbühel Alps Panorama Cable Car. From Mittersill or Hollersbach it goes directly to the Resterkogel Mountain Station and thus directly into the Kitzbühel Alps ski area. The southern most entrance takes you to around 170km of perfectly prepared slopes.
SNOW COVERED CROSS-COUNTRY TRAILS
The Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden region offers cross-country skiers a wealth of opportunities. On the one hand, both beginners and intermediates will find the more comfortable routes on the 200 kilometre long Pinzga-Loipe while on the other hand, advanced cross-country skiers will not be stopped even by darkness on the floodlit Blizzard-Loipe. An absolute highlight is the Hochmoor-Loipe which sits on a sun plateau at 1,200m above sea level, and offers a snow-guaranteed cross-country trail with stunning views of the snow-covered summits of the Hohe Tauern National Park Mountains.
SNOW BLOWN HIKING TRAILS
Thanks to its special geographic location, the Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden region offers numerous alternatives away from the slopes and cross-country trails. Whether on soft hills or surrounded by the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park, unforgettable experiences in unspoilt nature are guaranteed. The National Park Rangers organise a varied and extensive programme from wild animal watching up to snow-show hikes - the possibilities are absolutely endless!
